A Community Based Art Project to develop a memorial that would commemorate victims of domestic violence through the creation of a Giant Lantern that would house four 10' x 6' mural mosaics developed by over 240 artists across the Globe and a Memorial Garden that will be used to teach about the stages of abuse and healing from toxic relationships. |
Domestic Violence Memorial Gardens We are seeking a location on the eastern seaboard for a permanent memorial for victims of domestic violence. There are so many victims every year and many of whom we will never know their names, however we still seek to honor them and their families. The garden will be used to educate the public about domestic violence, intimate partner abuse, and child abuse. Our intention is to raise awareness about these human rights abuses as well as make significant impact in social change. |
