The Mural Mosaic Team is a group that brings together people and communities while creating amazing artwork in the process. The brainchild of renowned artist Lewis Lavoie, and co-produced by Phil Alain and Paul Lavoie- this project finds a way to incorporate hundreds of individual paintings together that are created by artists who do not know each other or know what the final image of the mural will be, but when they are assembled they create amazing murals!! THERE ARE NO DIGITAL EFFECTS USED WHATSOEVER!! Each artists is able to maintain their individuality in their own artistic style while being a part of the much bigger picture. All of this while helping build community and supporting charities world wide. Mural Mosaic has already managed to help raise over half a million dollars for various causes while bolstering the careers of hundreds of artists!

The Mural Mosaic Team has kindly given us permission to use their artistic style, flair, and techniques to help us create this one of a kind everlasting Memorial.

A Window Between Worlds (AWBW) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to using art to help end domestic violence. Since 1991, AWBW has provided creative expression as a healing tool for over 49,500 battered women and their children in crisis shelters, transitional homes, and outreach centers throughout the United States.

By providing an environment that promotes healing, art workshops help women and children to develop a renewed sense of hope and possibility that profoundly impacts future decisions regarding the direction of their lives, their relationships, and how to stay safe. Art empowers survivors to transform how they view themselves, allowing them to see past the abusive messages they learned from their batterers and rebuild their self-confidence.

The AWBW Windows Program is available to any agency or organization seeking to implement art as healing tool for survivors of domestic violence. We invite you to learn more about our programs and to join us in using art to empower survivors and to break the silence surrounding domestic violence in our communities.

The mission of the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence (NCADV) is to organize for collective power by advancing transformative work, thinking and leadership of communities and individuals working to end the violence in our lives.

NCADV believes violence against women and children results from the use of force or threat to achieve and maintain control over others in intimate relationships, and from societal abuse of power and domination in the forms of sexism, racism, homophobia, classism, anti-Semitism, able-bodyism, ageism and other oppressions. NCADV recognizes that the abuses of power in society foster battering by perpetuating conditions, which condone violence against women and children. Therefore, it is the mission of NCADV to work for major societal changes necessary to eliminate both personal and societal violence against all women and children.

NCADV's work includes coalition building at the local, state, regional and national levels; support for the provision of community-based, non-violent alternatives - such as safe home and shelter programs - for battered women and their children; public education and technical assistance; policy development and innovative legislation; focus on the leadership of NCADV's caucuses developed to represent the concerns of organizationally under represented groups; and efforts to eradicate social conditions which contribute to violence against women and children.
