Personalized Care Cards

for Shelters

Care Cards for shelters is a volunteer project by a group of people and their families who have overcome abuse in their own lives and wish to share words of encouragement to those still in shelters. We believe that all individuals regardless of age, gender, religion should be treated with dignity and appreciation for the courage to overcome this traumatic and life changing experience.

1. To order a card please go to cardstore.com - Personlize you care card and cardstore does the rest! They will print, stamp and mail directly to the shelter of your choice!

2. If you would like to help with this project please login to our group:

http://dvmemorial.ning.com/group/carecardsforshelters

**Please be sure to post how many cards you sent!**

This group is for people who wish to send letters, cards, care packages to those in shelters who are in need of encouragement and support. Please keep in mind that we can not give out names nor will we ask for them specifically as we call shelters to see who is interested in participating in these upcoming holidays.

Other ideas are for volunteers to cook and bring Turkeys to victims in shelters, bring food, clothing, or other items that may be useful for their transition to a new life.

Volunteers Needed to Find Shelters

We are looking for people to find shelters who would like to receive care cards. If you are able to volunteer please email me directly at dvsupport@live.com or login to our group.
